Repeat Prescriptions

If you have registered for Patient Access, you can use this system (via the button below) to order repeat prescriptions. You can also email your requests to us at, stating your name, DOB, address and item(s) required.

Requests for repeat prescriptions are not taken over the telephone with the exception of housebound patients. There is a request slip on the right-hand side of your prescription that you need to complete and deposit before your next prescription is due.

All repeat prescription requests take 2 working days (weekends not included) to be processed and will be available after 16:00 on the second working day after being placed.

We would appreciate it if patients do not call into surgery to collect prescriptions before 16:00 unless discussed with a member of our team.

It is important that you clearly tick the items you require. You may prefer to post your repeat prescription request to us enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope – then we can post your prescription back to you.

If you nominate a pharmacy via the reception team, we can electronically send your prescription directly to the chemist. Please ask a member of our team if you wish to nominate a pharmacy.

If you wish to deliver your request for a repeat prescription to the surgery, there is a box at the entrance for prescriptions which is opened regularly – this will save you time waiting at the reception desk. We have arrangements with some local chemists that will deliver prescriptions to the elderly or housebound – please ask at reception.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and a notification should appear on your repeat prescription slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
